Design is no longer just about what users see ... it’s about how systems think, when they pause, and who they ask for help!

If you can’t measure impact, can you really prove value?

Designers, we are problem-solvers at heart.

But in a world obsessed with ROI and speed, good design alone isn’t enough. And problem-solving doesn't cut it, if we're solving the wrong problem. The harsh truth? If we can’t measure our impact, we can’t prove our value.

We’ve seen brilliant designers struggle to articulate their worth because often we're tracking the wrong metrics, whether because someone on top decided "they know better", an opportunity to influence failed through the cracks, or even maybe we were never taught how to play at the business level.

Often typical metrics set in the team tend to focus on outputs (“we shipped 10 features!”) or vanity metrics (“our app has 1M downloads!”) while the real value - outcomes - goes unmeasured.

The rise in the demand for sandwiches came about as our society became busier and had less time to devote to preparing and consuming meals. Quick, transportable, and affordable food became a necessity in a fast-paced industrial era. This shift can be seen even in our lunch habits today, most commonly consumed in our offices.

However, the concept of using some sort of bread or a bread-like item to support or encase different types of food has been prevalent in many ancient cultures across the globe. Despite changes, sandwiches have always remained in style, primarily owing to their convenience. Where we purchase them, their preparation methods, and their contents might have evolved, but the sandwich persists as a beloved comfort food and everyday snack. There's a unique pleasure in having a pre-packaged sandwich, whether it's a wrap picked up at the grocer or a restaurant burger, that far surpasses the satisfaction of making one at home. The conventional meat-and-bread combination is a widely beloved choice.

Despite changes, sandwiches have always remained in style, primarily owing to their convenience.

Presently, we're spoiled for choice with a myriad of sandwich options, though a few like the grilled cheese and peanut butter and jelly are perennial favorites. Simple or gourmet, there's undoubtedly a sandwich variety to charm anyone and they come in all conceivable forms and sizes.
